Separate sealed Bids will be received by the TOWN OF NEW SHOREHAM, RHODE ISLAND for the: REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF M/V 20/20 and related appurtenances, on or before 2:00 P.M. on May 27, 2010 at the office of the Town Manager, #16 Old Town Road, Block Island, RI and will be opened and read in public.
Specifications may be obtained at the office Stephen Land, Harbormaster (401) 466-3204 or harbormaster@new-shoreham.com.
Successful Bidder is required to carry liability insurance consistent with the Town’s requirement. All work must be completed by June 12,2010.
All Bids must be submitted and clearly marked:

NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE
FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE
The Town of New Shoreham proposes to file an Application for Federal Financial Assistance with the USDA, Rural Development. This application for financial assistance will be for funding under the Rural Utilities Service, Part 1780, Water and Waste Loans and Grants (CFDA 10,760) and is anticipated to be submitted on or before May 24, 2010. The specific elements of the project include the replacement of the existing generator switchgear, main distribution switchboard, motor control center MCC-1, and panelboards.
The project is anticipated to cost $800,000.
Any comments regarding this application should be submitted to the Town Manager, Town Hall, P.O. Drawer 220, Block Island, RI 02807 within fifteen (15) days of this publication.

The New Shoreham School Committee, at its meeting held on Monday, April 12, 2010, approved the posting of Policy GK: Safe and Peaceful School Community for the required 30-day period prior to adoption.
Copies are available for community perusal during normal business hours at the Island Free Library, the Block Island School, and on the school’s web site (blockislandschool.net).
