Amended Budget Schedule
The New Shoreham Town Council will discuss and act on the budget for fiscal year 2011 at a series of sessions at the Town Hall, Old Town Road. Budget work sessions will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and, if necessary, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Budget public hearing and adoption by Council will be Monday, April 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Financial Town Meeting will be Monday, May 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Block Island School. Individuals requesting interpreter service for the hearing impaired must call (401) 466-3200 forty-eight hours in advance of the meeting date. TTY (800) 745-5555.

Voter Registration Deadline for Financial Town Meeting
Financial Town Meeting will be Monday, May 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Block Island School, High Street. In order to participate, you must be registered to vote in New Shoreham on or before Saturday, April 3, 2010. You may register at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town Hall, Old Town Road, Monday through Friday 9:00 to 3:00, or at the New Shoreham Police Station on Saturday, April 3, 2010 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Contact the Town Clerk’s Office if you have questions: (401) 466-3200 or townclerk@new-shoreham.com. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of New Shoreham Zoning Board of Review will be in session at the Town Hall, Old Town Road on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 7:00PM for a regular meeting.
All persons interested will be heard for or against the granting of the following applications under the Zoning Ordinances:
1. Harbor Road Yacht Basin. Plat 5, Lot 101. Application for a Special Use Permit under Section 113(4) and for a Variance from Section 113(2) and 111(18) to modify an existing Special Use Permit granted in 1987 for a rental car business.
2. Pike, F. Norris, Porteus, Judith and Hodge, Jane. Plat 5, Lot 77. Application by F. Norris Pike for a Variance from Section 113(E)(2) and 307(B) and (C) for construction of a single-family dwelling.
