Haunted House
Friday, October 30, from 6 p.m, to 9 p.m. at the Harbor Church. All ages welcome. Admittance is free, but donations to support future youth group activities are welcomed. Students from the B.I. School will staff a “Haunted Main Street” on the third floor of the church. The waiting area on the first floor will offer face painting, a “bounce house” for younger kids, and a cider press provided by Kim Gaffett.
Halloween happenings
On Friday, October 30, head to the Albion for a spooktacular Halloween party with The 007s and prizes. Club Soda will be hosting Costume Karaoke on Friday, October 30, starting at 10 p.m. and a Halloween party with 13 Miles Out on Saturday, October 31. McGovern’s Yellow Kittens will have its annual Halloween party on Saturday, October 31, with D.J. Sean Dugan and proceeds benefiting the Block Island Volunteer Fire Department. Don’t forget to dress up!
Library events
On Saturday, October 31, at 1 p.m., bring the kids to the annual Halloween party where there will be stories, spooky crafts, games, pumpkin painting and a costume parade.
Kids Halloween Party
The Ladies Auxiliary Halloween Party will be on Saturday, October 31, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rescue Barn. Fourth grade and under. Food, games and prizes.
Fall back
Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, so don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour.
H1N1 Pediatric Vaccine Clinic
The clinic will be at the Medical Center on Wednesday, November 4, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for children 6 months to 5 years; and on Tuesday, November 10, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for school age children (K-12 clinic). The regular seasonal flu shot is available, and strongly recommended, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment necessary.
Disney Live
Sign up now! On November 7, B.I. Recreation is going to P.P.A.C to see Disney Live. Tickets are $30 each and transportation is provided. Leave at 8:15 a.m., return at 4 p.m. Call the Rec Department at 466-3223.

Yoga Moves to Community Center
